You’ve probably heard “Find your why.” before.
Well, chances are most of you got it wrong.
Our studio was the same.
We though we found our years ago. That we “solve problems”, “accepting challenges”, “help people with our design”. Sounds a bit like why.
But it’s not.
Those are WHAT we do – not what it brings. And not what makes us DIFFERENT.
So you dive deeper into what you communicate and what you’re selling: Deliverig awesome brands. Top in UX. Amazing Product Design.
Awesome, but… millions are saying the same thing.
If you’ve been doing this long enough, quality is expected. Any designer, or studio can say they’re great at branding, UX, UI, Product Design. Everyone has results. Everyone solves problems and accepting challenges.
That’s not what makes you different. And it doesn’t answer your why.
I came across Simon Sinek’s approach.
He says your why is formed early in life. It’s already in you. You don’t invent it. You uncover it.
There are two questions to help you get there:
1. What’s one specific memory from your childhood that brought you real joy? Think of a moment that made you happy. What was happening?
2. What’s one day at work you wish every workday felt like? A day that, if repeated again and again, would make you say: “I love my job.”
You look for common patterns.
For what’s beneath.
I thought our why was that we thrive where others get stuck. But when I answered Simon’s questions – and then analyzed the most successful client projects we’ve ever done – there was one thing connecting everything together.
It was all about trust.
It was about someone giving us responsibility and believing we’d be okay. That we’d figure it out. That we’d come back with something great.
And in our work, the best moments, the best outcomes, always happen when a client puts that kind of trust in us.
Not micromanaging. Not having fu*king standups every Tuesday. But full, real trust.
When they give us the burden (which takes courage and faith), say “this is yours now,” and step back – we thrive.
That’s a unique moment for both sides. That’s when we get to do what we do best, and what we love the most: working with joy, heads down, creating something they didn’t even know to expect. Not fulfilling the brief – surpassing it on purpose.
Deliver way more, just to see it: That smile. That shake of the head. That “wow.”
We’re not the studio for people who want to control everything. We’re the studio for those who want to be amazed.Who love that feeling of surprise, that excitement, that intoxicating feeling of knowing that investment is massively paying off.
We bring relief, freedom, and joy – through design.
When we’re trusted fully, we work freely. And when we work freely, we deliver more that you paid for.
Because then, work is fun. That’s the core of what we do at garcy.studio.
That’s Joy Through Design.
